Fishing I Phones and Designer Perfumes from Sea at Hormuz

Videos have surfaced online of fishermen scrambling to salvage floating boxes of I phones and French designer perfumes in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.

The luxury goods were part of the cargo of two Singaporean ships GFS Pride and the GFS Gazelle which sunk on October 14th after being struck by projectiles. All occupants were rescued safely.

However, the Iranian authorities have an alternative narrative on what happened. They say the ships had refused to heed to warnings and sailed into sea mines that detonated and destroyed them.

The event demonstrates the massive financial losses individuals and governments have suffered since the beginning of the Iranian conflict which began late in February this year.
