85-year-old  Grace Ehimeka from Owan East in Edo State, Nigeria has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). She was allegedly found with 179kg of cannabis packed in 15 bags.
The arrest happened on October 16, 2026, during an operation carried out by NDLEA officers in Warake, Ivhiaro, and Ewe/Irue communities.
Six other persons were arrested during the raid.
The surprising arrest comes in the wake of growing cannabis planting and selling in Edo State. NDLEA operations have become rather frequent in the state.
