President Trump has expressed great anger over comments made by former US President Obama over his ongoing renovations at the White House. He described Obama as dirty, stupid, and a lousy president, who allowed facilities and furnishings at the White House to fall to crumble during administration.
“The way he ran the White House, only a stupid person could run a country like that…he doesn’t see dirt, he doesn’t see filth…it has to be painted… very little money spent…the White House is a symbol of America. It has to be clean,” Trump said.

Obama had criticised Trump’s focus on renovating the executive mansion at a time when Democrats are campaigning on the cost of living and other economic concerns. Obama likened the renovated White House to a “Cheesecake Factory.”
Trump, meanwhile, presented the work as necessary upkeep of one of America’s most recognisable historic buildings.
The dispute has also brought renewed attention to the scale, cost, and scrutiny of changes to the White House, including the ballroom project, the Rose Garden redesign and additions to the grounds.
